Class Structure: 
In level 2 we begin to Introduce some more complex projects that may take up to 2 weeks. Most projects begin with step-by-step instructions before moving into open ended, individual creative decision making. Like level 1, projects are designed to appeal to this age group with a lot of animals, fun characters and seasonal subjects.   
 
Learning goals: 
Improving brush control and learning foundational painting techniques. Learning to understand art as a process (thinking in steps). Understanding how to create more complex forms out of simpler ones. Using materials in unconventional ways. Practicing creative decision making and problem solving. Staying Inspired by having fun!
 
Materials: 
We may use any of the following in our projects: acrylic paint, watercolours, air dry clay, markers, pastels, pencils, foam, felt, glue, pom poms, pipe cleaners, beads, collage papers, and more.

All materials are supplied. We have aprons in the studio for protecting the children's clothing when using messier materials like acrylic paint, but always recommend that parents avoid dressing their kids in their best clothes.  
Parents do not need to stay for the the class as long as their child feels comfortable. Please make sure your contact info is on file if you are dropping off.
